The Baltic Star – cruise ship doing 24-hour trips to the Finnish islands of Åland. The ship was built in 1953 as the ‘Birger Jarl’ (Stockholm – Helsinki route), a name that the ship incidentally recovered when Stockholm celebrated its 750th birthday in 2002, Birger Jarl being its founding father.
