Barnevik, Percy – Swedish business executive, former CEO of Asea Brown Boveri (ABB – see above), a company created by him through a merger in 1988. His more than generous pension scheme was condemned as the ABB stock market value collapsed a few years after his retirement, and he had to resign from the chairmanship of Investor (controlled by the Wallenberg family). Barnevik’s name became synonymous with greed. Today he is committed to philanthropic work.
