The Laser Man, John Ausonius (1953 –). Swedish convicted bank robber and attempted serial killer. In 1991-92 he shot eleven people (initially using a rifle with a laser sight) in Stockholm and Uppsala, killing one and seriously injuring the others. He targeted people with non-Swedish features (being of Swiss/German descent himself). The police started a massive manhunt and Ausonius was arrested during a bank robbery in 1992. He was sentenced to life imprisonment.
